Three Dreams, One Night
1.
I was standing with Kate Gale outside in an unfamiliar place--wide open space, and a fence with a huge gate that was open. We were talking amicably. A few moments later I saw from afar about nine bear cubs and they had just seen us and were starting to amble towards us, faster and faster. I yelled and Kate saw them and she hurriedly grabbed the gate to shut it. Just in time.
2.
I was having a birthday party at my Kingsley apartment. I saw Katie R., Carrie, Melanie, and a few others. Shawn arrived. I was surprised to see him. He left after a little while and I pretended not to notice. I was busy trying to take photos of little plastic Ken dolls on my Formica table. The dolls were in all sorts of sexual positions. As I was trying to get a photo, the door opened and Shawn was back. He was holding a box with a fake flower on it. It was my birthday gift. I told him he didn't have to, and opened the box. Inside were proof sheets and random negatives, all of me. There were more pictures of me than he has ever really had in actuality, ever. I looked through them all, realizing that he was essentially giving me back every scrap of evidence he ever had of me and our relationship.
3.
I went to Melanie's parent's house and was shocked to discover that it was many acres larger, with a lake, and they were renting it out to people. There were at least 200 travelers there, passing through. Many were in bathing suits enjoying the lake. I had had no idea they'd become a resort.
