into the rabbit hole

blueseven.jpg

Thanks for all the sweet emails. I have not died or contracted a fatal illness. Nope, nothing like that. No chemo drip or dramatic tales of kidnapping by undercover agents.

It was teaching that killed the blog these past few months. This term, I teach Principles of Composition and Composition III. Both last just 5 1/2 weeks, but include an entire quarter's worth of essays and readings.

Oh - and never mind the students who carpet bomb me with nasty emails when their grades threaten a supposedly stellar GPA. Or the plagiarized papers I catch every term. That adds a whole new level of documentation and labor.

Then there's the book review I'm working on, due in just about a week. (I'll link that when it publishes.)

See ya soon! I teach two sections of Composition again for the second session this summer, but one is literature, and I usually have more free time when I teach that. =)
