I was sitting in a cafe, watching people pass by on the sidewalk, when a man slapped a receipt down on my table and scurried away. He had sketched my back while I daydreamed, unaware that anyone was watching.
On the bottom right corner it says, draw backs.
It was exactly what I needed: proof that this life is real.

It's funny. A couple winters ago, I was interested in snapping photographs of pedestrian's backs as they walked in front of me. These shots were blurry and hard to read ... Even still, I felt weird about the surveillance aspect.
But a drawing seems different. If someone had walked up and slapped down a Polaroid, I would have freaked. But the drawing was nice.
