sidewalk on NW Glisan, shot with the cell phone
The first time I noticed this was immediately after September 11, 2001. I don't know if it was painted there because of the attacks, or if it already existed long before. I don't even know if the artist intended it to look like a crash, or for the strip of white to look like a tower. (Perhaps the white strip came later?) Now I notice it every day.

Yeah..uhh...wow. That's pretty fucking cool. Where is that? NW Glisan? How would someone at SE 39th and Powell get to there?

Hey -
It's on the corner of NW 10th and NW Glisan, on the same side as the Metropolitan Presort building (and diagonal from the Pho restaurant). NW 10th is where the streetcar runs, so if you take the bus into downtowan, and catch a sreetcar ride to the Pearl, you can get there easily. You will find it directly below a "Pay to Park" sign, next to the streetlight post.
I hope it doesn't get painted over or sandblasted away.
